Some dog owners feel like dressing their pets up in clothing and accessories isn’t necessary or cute. While we firmly believe in the “to each their own” mentality, we also can’t help the fact that our Westie looks adorable in a bow tie!
Small accessories like bow ties are great ways to spice up your dog’s style without needing to force them to wear full sweaters, shirts, or other items. Many dogs do not like to wear full-coverage clothing. In those cases, turning to accessories is a great choice.
Plus, we can pretty much guarantee that your dog is going to look adorable enough to take dozens of pictures of while they’re wearing a bow tie!
Today, we’re going to be reviewing one of the many bow ties that we have tried. The Zee.Dog Bow Tie in their Memphis print is one that stands out, but is this bow tie worth the investment just to make your dog look a little more stylish? Let’s find out together.
The Zee.Dog Memphis is a bow tie that can be slid onto a dog’s collar very easily. This particular bow tie from Zee.Dog is covered in one of their most popular prints, Memphis. The color palette of this bow tie stands out on most dogs, but does that make it right for yours?
Who Is This Product For?
This product is for any dog—male or female—that you want to dress up or style a bit more than usual! As the bow can be worn at the chest like a bow tie or on the back like a dog lace, you can mix up the style. If you would like to bring your dog along to more formal occasions or simply love the idea of matching accessories with your dog, this bow tie is a great choice.
If you’ve got a little Westie, you’ll find that the small version of this bow tie is a great fit. Most dogs that are small- to medium-sized will match in proportion with the small size, while dog owners of larger dogs may want to move up to the large size.
This bow tie has a hidden elastic band at the back, which makes it very easy to attach to your dog’s collar, lead, or harness. Other than that, it is very simple and doesn’t include any additional accessories.
Overview of the Features
When we first thought about dressing our Westie up in a little bow tie, we thought that nothing could be cuter than what we were imagining. Once we slid this Memphis bow tie onto his collar, however, we realized just how wrong we were! Yes, he looked even cuter than we could have dreamed of.
There’s something very practical yet elegant about a bow tie like this one. First and foremost, it isn’t difficult to use. All that you need to do is slide the bow tie onto a collar, lead, or another item, and you’re good to go! We like to put ours around Sami’s front like a little bow tie, but our friends use theirs on their dog’s back instead.
The bow itself is made from polyester and has a unique design. Zee.Dog has a number of fashionable designs that can be found on all of their merchandise. If you really love a design like this Memphis pattern, you can get a matching lead or collar to ensure that your pup fully rocks the look that you love.
The polyester on the bow is relatively soft. However, you will want to keep in mind that dogs with sensitive skin should always wear things like the bow tie in a monitored environment to ensure there isn’t a reaction.

Attaching and Caring For Your Zee.Dog Bow Tie
Over the years, we’ve used a few different Zee.Dog bow ties, and overall, we have found them to be very practical and easy to use. Nevertheless, some might not be sure of the best ways to attach and care for these cute products!
To attach the bow tie, all that you need to do is locate the elastic on the back of the bow. This is located in the center tie area. Lift this away from the fabric, and slide your dog’s collar through the opening. Slide the bow tie along the collar until it is located where you want it. Once you’ve successfully done that, then you’re good to go!
In case you don’t know yet, to wash the bow tie, you can actually use your washing machine! We’ve found that machine-washing these ties with warm water and a very gentle, dog-friendly detergent gets all of the dirt and grime off. Then, let them air dry. However, try not to put the bow tie in the sun to air dry, as this could cause the colors on the fabric to fade.
Sometimes, it is easier to buy a matching set than to try to find a collar that matches a bow tie! We’ve tried sets like this one for our Westie before as they are a no-fuss way to get a cohesive and stylish look without much effort.
If you love the structure of the Zee.Dog bow tie but don’t adore the Memphis pattern, the Woods design is a bit more rustic and perfect for the upcoming fall season.
We know we’re biased, but there aren’t many things that are cuter in the world than seeing our Westie rocking a cute bow tie. If you love dressing up your pup or are trying to find cute ways to accessorize without needing to put your dog in full outfits, using bow ties like the Zee.Dog ones are a great option.
These bow ties are easy to use and care for, too. Really, there wasn’t much that we didn’t like about using these bow ties except for the fact that they don’t last forever. If your pup needs a style makeover, these are the perfect tool that you can use to do just that in no time at all!
